Adam Gorightly–Flying Saucer Contactees in Depth – Radio Misterioso

Some widely differing articles on witnesses and what they claim to encounter in UFO cases. First, Greg Bishop and “A” is for Adamski co-author Adam Gorightly shed light on fascinating but lesser-known contactees featured in their upcoming book. Next, Special Cases–The Long Island File (71): Maybe I’m the Nut illustrates John Keel’s self-doubts after listening to a coterie of New York contactees and their strange tales. Robbie Graham considers an upcoming book in Return of the Messengers: An Interview with Mike Clelland. Stories from the Messengers: Accounts of Owls, UFOs, and a Deeper Reality tries to understand a connection Clelland perceives between these birds and a variety of paranormal “mayhem.” What Rich Reynolds would think of each of the foregoing articles would be interesting to know, as he ponders whether UFO Witnesses are Special?. Rich applies a rather broad-brush approach in his argument, and people will pick at it by citing one or more counterexamples. However, it’s an interesting notion that some people are more open to anomalous (but perhaps even “real”?) phenomena because somehow such receptivity has not been “programmed” or educated out of them.
