Though I viewed it eastward from I-40 near Griffith road exit south of Kingman AZ , it appeared to be quite some distance away . It was a very massive triangular object about 3 full moons wide with an orange light pattern 3 to a side over an adjacent mountain range east of me ( Peacock mountains ) about 25 miles away . It hovered and though I could only see it for its lights at its considerable distance I watched it start to twist axially and very slowly as the lights moved perfectly together . It was then that I realized these lights were attached to one large triangular body . Then it accelerated away slightly upward and away from me in an eastward direction at a rate of acceleration that I know no human or animal could withstand that kind of g force . Though this was a long time ago and my dates now are a little unsure , it was 1993 late spring and I remember this bizarre event vividly . I told a few friends but they didn’t make much of it . Then a about a decade later , 2003 a local news cast did a spot on triangular lighted objects back in 1997 near Phoenix which is about 200 miles from here . I felt stunned but redeemed because I knew there was indeed something connective to what I had seen 4 years earlier . I still feel a bit spooked and chilled remembering how it was to see that alone at night deep out in that big dark desert .Just very weird experience .
