Elaine Chao: We Still Haven't Identified Operators of Mystery Drones in Colorado and Nebraska – Yahoo! Finance

“Move along, folks, there’s nothing to see here anymore” might be how some Westerners would characterize a closing segment in a recent interview with US Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao. About 5:30 into the embedded video Chao discusses the drone regulation problem with reference to the current drone flap in Colorado and neighboring states. Chao’s unique choice of the terms “covey” and “coveys” for the aerial prowlers instead of the now-canonical “swarms” is interesting. So is Chao’s statement that the Feds are no longer investigating the matter because local law enforcements have “stepped down.” The FAA and regional entities certainly evinced more interest and “take charge” attitude earlier on in this story. Some insight may be provided by Problem Solvers Obtain Internal Emails About Northeastern Colorado Drone Investigation. FOX31 News reports on over 100 pages of documents given them by the Colorado Division of Fire Prevention and Control that “reveal how the agency handled media inquiries and tips from the public.” The FOX31 Problem Solvers also got detailed maps that are “not entirely accurate” and an email from agency director Mike Morgan that a January 7th statement “is as ‘fuzzy’ as we can be while being honest about it.” For those new to the “drone flap,” UFO Hunters Claim They Are Behind The Unexplained Group of Colorado Drones, Mystery Remains Unsolved has a short video about the “reports of mysterious and unexplained ‘swarms’ of drones flying in formation across the state.” Douglas Charles also sketches out the drone mystery, and the Michael Turber “drone-Tic Tac” connection that seems to have informed the Wichita, Kansas, UFO group allegedly seeking Tic Tacs more than 1,000 miles away and 15 years removed from the 2004 Nimitz incidents.
