Evidence of U.S. Navy Involvement in UFO Program May Have Been Destroyed – The Black Vault

Recent suggestions of governmental (and particularly US Navy) leanings toward a new age of UFO openness may be premature. John Greenewald says “that transparency may have morphed back into a shroud of secrecy,” which “may also foreshadow future secrecy that may surround the recently announced “‘UAP Task Force.'” Greenewald supports his contention by detailing his stymied attempts to prise away information on the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP). Greenewald’s efforts have been noticed by Billy Cox, who lauds To The Stars and its just-concluded Season Two of Unidentified for Rolling the Bones, Upping the Ante in response to counter this kind of stonewalling. Cox also highlights Robert Hastings’ role in the tv series, while acknowledging along with Hastings some editorial flaws therein. Hastings was not featured in their “UFOs vs. Nukes” episode, while he is, as Billy writes, “the guy who literally wrote that book.” Hastings has himself detailed his quibbles in Unidentified’s ‘Extraterrestrial Encounters’ Episode: Robert Hastings’ Critique. Cox complains that Hastings’ Unidentified “face time was restricted to the abduction episode” (S2E8), and that was handled in “overly cautious” producers’ choices. Hastings’ promo for a recent book co-authored with Dr. Bob Jacobs discusses the abduction background at UFOs and Nukes Researcher Reveals His Alien Abduction Encounters. (WM)
