As there were witnesses to the event, he looks more deeply into the mystery and discovers that these fish sometimes jump from the water and land on shore, where members of the community gather them as food. A bit of a Christmas miracle, no specific belief system required.  And speaking of miracles of a sort, there’s The Mysterious Australian House of Miracles, where it seems the spirit of a departed young man is manifesting as an oily substance seeping through the walls of his family’s home. Miracles have ensued and the source of the strange liquid remains unknown.
