Forgotten Sea Serpents, 1880 – 1886 – Malcolm's Musings: Cryptozoology

Malcolm Smith has unburied three more previously unreported encounters with sea serpents, dating back to the 1800s and covering the waters surrounding Newfoundland, Massachusetts, and the Orkneys. We can’t help but wonder how much more information would have been gathered if Smith had been around back then to question witnesses. Next, Nick Redfern offers My Conclusions on the Chupacabra. Summarizing 14 years of investigation, Redfern is certain that the strange beasts described as Chupacabras in Texas, Puerto Rico, Oklahoma, and Mexico do not have the same origins and are in fact not the same creatures. Separating facts (the few we have) from the fiction (of which there is an abundance), Redfern at least gives us a starting point to look at the Chupacabra as a zoological mystery rather than a vampiric beast.
