Get That 'Gut Feeling'? You May Be Clairsentient – Sentinel and Enterprise

In an excerpt from “Ask the Psychic Medium,” a reader wrote in to Bonnie Page regarding “gut feelings” and empathic abilities. Sounds normal enough, especially if you move in the same circles we at the Anomalist do. But Ms. Page dropped the ball in our opinion, encouraging her reader to test out her psi skills using such means as trying to sense when an upcoming traffic light is about to change. (Get that? Upcoming.) We sincerely hope any reader of the Anomalist–actually anyone, anywhere–understands that operating a motor vehicle is not the opportune time to test out psychic abilities. Unless of course you’re wondering what it would be like to communicate with folks Here, while you are On The Other Side. So just don’t. Balancing the scales, Jason Offutt makes a case In Defence of Psychic Powers. A self professed skeptic, Offutt was once put in his place by the real deal at a Spiritualist Convention. We understand his reaction to having his deepest secrets examined by a complete (psychic) stranger. We especially appreciate his summary upon having his skepticism upended: “The paranormal is fun as long as it happens to someone else.” Couldn’t have said it better ourselves. (CM)
