The Anomalist constantly drinks from the firehose, sharing the best links from around the web from disparate sites like Mysterious Universe and The Guardian. When the latter isn’t bemoaning peak lentils, or some such crap, they often cover high strangeness like Germany’s dancing epidemic. John Waller goes beyond the phenomenology, into the event’s impact on everything from art to cooking brains. Something else is cooking with yet another plague. In this case they’re Mysterious Fires In Turkey’s Gürpınar District, fascinating Paul Cropper and terrifying residents. Perhaps The History Channel could lure Brent Swancer away from Mysterious Universe with the promise of cash after reading of his Strange Encounters With Mysterious Living Blobs. We’re not talking about The Blob, The Stuff, nor Recorded Live. These actually happened in Philadelphia, Sweden, and a few other places. If not a show’s host, maybe Michael Grosso could land a gig as a consultant for the phenomenology of consciousness?
