Dead at age 86 is a true trailblazer for women’s flight, who just happens to have recorded three UFO encounters as well. Marina Popovich’s determination and status as a setter of 102 aviation world records apparently made people take her UFO interests seriously, especially after Mikhail Gorbachev’s rise and the subsequent fall of the Soviet Union.
