Littlefinger to Play Famous UFO Investigator in Upcoming History Channel Series "Blue Book" – Daily Grail

Those of us who saw Littlefinger get his just deserts in this past season’s Game of Thrones knew we were going to miss actor Aidan Gillen, and hoped to see him again soon. But that Gillen would resurface in the role of Dr. J. Allen Hynek in a History Channel series on Project Blue Book probably never occurred to any of us. Greg Taylor’s article includes a promo paragraph describing the late Dr. Hynek as hired “to spearhead this clandestine operation,” which is wrong on both counts. The blurb then describes how the program will blend UFO theories and authentic historical events “from one of the most mysterious eras [1952-1970] in United States history.” The series’ Executive Producer is Robert Zemeckis, whose credits include Romancing the Stone, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, the Back to the Future trilogy, Contact, and Cast Away. Zemeckis is noted for special effects creativity, and in films such as Forrest Gump and 1941, he has combined historical elements with fictional storytelling. That seems to be what the History Channel is “about” nowadays. Speaking of mixing fiction with reality, Special Cases–The Long Island File (61): The Lucis Trust continues to throw novel “mystery grenades” at John Keel, mostly mediated through his friend, contactee Jaye Paro. Keel’s reference to “the whole bloody mystery” is unclear, but that pales next to the story that Paro relates about a “murder attempt” upon her and her parents. (WM)
