Papuans and East Asians have DNA of Mysterious Denisovans – Mysterious Universe

Small is beautiful and it would seem that was likely the case around half-a-million years ago, when humans found the little Denisovan people irresistible. This appears to be the reason why the modern “population of Oceania and Papua New Guinea received 5% of its DNA from Denisovans.” The research team from the University of Washington reckon that “more evidence of this interspecies breeding” will eventually emerge. Meanwhile, Dmitri Bayanov Celebrates 86th Birthday. Bayanov is not only prominent in cryptozoology, but also in “hominology,” which he describes as “a branch of primatology … in science’s ‘no-man’s land’ between zoology and anthropology.” Happy Birthday, Dmitri!
