In August of 2018, Gordon Strasenburgh quietly passed away, leaving tough to fill voids in both cryptozoology and hominology. Strasenburgh was best known for his research into the origin of the Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot, investigating fossil records and determining the closest match was not Gigantopithecus as popularly believed, but Paranthropus.
