Stanton T. Friedman Interview – The Paracast

I’ve been a fan of Stanton T. Friedman literally for decades, having heard the iconic ufologist give his memorable quotes and hard nuts-and-bolts approach many times and spoken with him occasionally. Whether one agreed with Friedman all, most, or only some of the time, you had to admire his appetite for getting information out to the public, debating the debunkers, and for championing a “centrist” scientific and data-driven approach to the field. And Stan is in rare form in this interview with Paracaster Gene Steinberg and J. Randall Murphy, who “make a special effort to attempt to take Stanton out of his usual comfort zone to widen the discussion to new areas,” and some new things were thus learned. But Friedman never seemed uncomfortable, and the result was vintage, quotable Friedman over the gamut of his favorite topics. Nearing the end of his lecturing peregrinations, Stanton seems even more reflective about the present human condition and its impact upon alien sensibilities, not to say upon us humans ourselves than he was in, for example, the 1990s. And Friedman even more emphasizes the importance of studying the primary sources he names as answers to the “no evidence” claims of those who speak without familiarity with such material. Anyone who has not heard Stanton Friedman speak should listen to this podcast, while those of us who have long known him will have the pleasure of hearing Stan once more in full form, while learning some interesting things along the way.
