The Kettering Incident – Fact And Fiction In The Service Of Intelligent Drama? – The Oz Files

Anyone interested in the field of ufology and its related topics knows it is nearly impossible to separate fact from fiction. The Kettering Incident, an 8-part mini-series which begins Down Under this Monday night, manages to combine both in what Bill Chalker refers to as “fiction well delivered.” Count us in. Now for a sample of fact delivered poorly:  Doug Skinner unearths some Gray Barker/John Keel correspondence from a 1960s file about Tom and the Eaureaphythians. We get what Tom was on about–he had a strange experience. But the interpretation of “facts” after that are a bit of a clusterjam. We take heart in knowing MUFON is actively investigating reports about what’s coming through–or out of–the skies.  Currently Under investigation: Two UFOs videotaped over Seattle. Unfortunately, the uploaded video lacks sufficient resolution to draw any conclusions. (CM)
