The Minister and the Monster – The Fortean

Cropster brings us a simple yet compelling report from the Loch in 1930s Scotland. Based on the witness reports of an Australian visitor who was both clergyman and broadcaster, it is accompanied by sufficient detail and earnest enthusiasm to leave no doubt as to the sighting’s authenticity, although identification is another story. Luckily the witness was able to use a nearby grazing cow for perspective, and the Loch was calm and clear. As with all reports, it really is up to individual interpretation, but something unusual was swimming past Urquhart Castle that day. This next Nessie report is from an American Tourist Visiting Scotland Spots the Loch Ness Monster. Now that’s a dream vacation in our books. Interestingly, it seems the witness may have come upon a family of Loch inhabitants, the largest of which responded to a speedboat passing by, giving credence to the notion that it was a living creature and not merely a wave or large chunk of driftwood. No photos though, so we can only hope it wasn’t a case of misidentification or a hoax. (CM)
