The Road to Strange–UFOs, Aliens and High Strangeness – The Paranormal Podcast

Rosemary Ellen Guiley, co-author with Michael Brein of the second in a series of The Road to Strange books, talks intense UFO experiences and “experiencers” with Jim Harold. The first-person case histories Guiley and Brein cover in UFOs, Aliens and High Strangeness highlight the total anomalous experience, focusing upon the witness and what happens to himself/herself afterwards, as well as the often gripping inciting event. Guiley has a definition of High Strangeness more inclusive than other ufologists, and an interesting personal “take” on the overall nature of and goals behind these encounters. She also seems to favor a view on the Disclosure question rather different than the “we have seen it all before” others have come to hold. John Keel focuses almost entirely upon the “experiencer” in Special Cases–The Long Island File (79): The Gold Cross. Actually, this post from Keel is a medley of quirky events, generally lacking the high tension so characteristic of other entries. (WM)
