Set aside a few moments to really watch and absorb this gem explaining the First People’s folklore around Sasquatch. It’s particularly well done, and if you aren’t left wondering how much of the folklore is based on reality then you weren’t paying attention. Don’t take those earbuds out just yet, though. Whitley Strieber’s Unknown Country has a Mike Clelland “The Unseen” podcast on Bigfoot, Folklore and Strange Familiars with Timothy Renner.Both Renner and Clelland are researchers into the highly strange, and they may well be the two best spoken, most sincere, unembellished and rational speakers of our weird genre. It’s a fascinating exchange between two paranormal contemporaries. A sad announcement this week: Albert DeAtley, Roger Patterson’s Brother-In-Law, Bigfoot Film Backer, Dies. DeAtley was Patterson’s benefactor, and without his funding the world would not have met Patty in 1967, or very likely ever. Rest in Peace, Sir. (CM)
