On friday 24th did anyone else see a bright silver balloon about 1135 ?. i was waiting for a dellivery at work and was watching overflights with my binoculars , a b787 nor , had just gone towards gatwick and two westbound trails were almost overhead , has i focused on the larger aircraft , a b747 prob lufthansa i saw a bright flash near to the jet , i was able to steady the binoculars against the door frame of the workshop , i saw a small black sphere or orb with a brilliant silver crescent like a new moom on the sunward side . the object was lost for a few min while i looked at the airliners but was in the same place when i looked back at the same place , i was able to get a clear sharp focus on the silver crecent but one of the many clouds coverd the object and i did not see it again when the clouds had passed . i have seen several orange weather balloons but never one like this despite the high windspeed on friday the object appeared to be rock steady in position . my workmate could not see the object with the naked eye . poss some sort of unmaned uav observation system ?
