I was at my friend’s house visiting. It was about 1:30am when I went out to the back patio to have a cigarette. I am a sky watcher and I had a clear view of the sky to the east. I suddenly saw two orange balls moving at a high rate of speed coming from the ESE moving toward the WNW. They were below the (cloud) ceiling and made no sound at all and did not have tails nor did they leave a trail of debris as meteors do. The objects were moving so fast I lost sight of them as they passed over the house. I didn’t have time to get to the front of the house to observe them any further.
I didn’t know what to think about what I had seen. The direction they came from was in the general area of Cape Canaveral. Given that rockets and missles have fire from thrusters and generally leave a trail of some sort I didn’t think the objects originated from the Cape.
I didn’t have a psychic reaction to the objects. I felt like my friends would think I was a little crazy when I told them what I saw.
I checked online for rocket launches or other things like that and found nothing. I thought it might have been some clandestine military thing but obviously couldn’t verify that.
I’ve seen lots of things in the sky – meteors, fireballs, satellites, the ISS, lots of different aircraft, but nothing, ever like what I saw that night.
I’m grateful to have (some) friends who don’t think I was stoned or crazy or both….
I just wish I knew what it was that I saw.
