I was hunting with my dad and uncle friday afternoon on our property and when i looked to the south toward mt evans when i saw the object hovering in the sky about 30 degrees up from horizontal. i called them over to look at it too. my dad is a skeptic by nature who is retired from the forest service and has knowledge of different known aircraft. i have a decent education in astronomy and knew it wasn’t a planet or anything outside of the atmosphere. the object was stationary while the clouds near by were moving to the east. clouds would also pass in front of it which helped to determine approximate size and distance. my guess was that it was about the size of a small car. the appearance was whiteish metallic that seemed translucent but we could not see into it. there was no sound, nothing attached to it or connecting it to the ground. none of us could identify anything remotely close to what it might be. after watching it for an hour or two with nothing happening we took a ride up the road to look for game. both times we stopped up the road we noticed it was still there in the same spot. by that time it was starting to get dark and we headed back to camp. after dark we looked in the same direction and didn’t see anything lit up so we don’t know if it was still there or not. in the morning it was gone.
