I let my dog out in the backyard early in the morning and went out with her since the weather was mild. i always look at the stars to see what constellations are visible. i looked over the roof of my house and noticed a bright star or planetary object. i was just thinking to myself that it must be venus because it was so bright, when it began to move.
it traveled to the south and i could tell it was above the clouds because i could see it shining through the clouds. it made no noise and must have been moving very fast since planes overhead move much more slowly across the sky.
the path it took was almost akin to a fish moving in water. not jerky at all, just a smooth meandering path to the south until it faded away.
