My wife and i were awaiting the space station traveling from the nw to the se. the space station was above and behind the lights. there were 2 or more typical bright airplane landing lights. the space station was scheduled as per "spothestation.Nasa.Gov/sightings/view.Cfm?Country=united_states". it was scheduled to pass over or heads at 81 degrees and visable for 6 minutes. the time was approximately 5am. it was just getting light. just as we saw the space station appear about 45 degrees above the western horizon the lights of the object came on and a few seconds later turned off. the object just disapeared.I thought it was an airplane taking off from the santa fe airport. the lights went out and i thought the pilot shut them off but i and my wife listened for the sound of the engine(s). nothing. i looked at her and said that was a ufo. she didn't believe me but i am a single engine pilot and a captain in the civil; air patrol. i have been a scanner during many sarex's. i am not current but have flown many missions with the civil air patrol doing border patrol missions at the new mexico, mexico border. the date was wednesday, may 24, 2017. you can check the times and locations via the "spot the station". i am sure the event we witnessed was real. if it were an airplane it would have made noise. even if it were a helicopter, which fly over house very often, we would have heard it.I am a former police officer, sheriff, volunteer fire fighter captain and training officer and an,emt. i retired from the los alamos national lab. so i know what we saw was real.

i hope some one else saw what we saw. if so please let me know.
